Privacy on the tracking page
Last updated: 31 October 2026
This notice covers track.pizza, the page we text you so you can follow your delivery. Our main privacy policy covers the rest of what we do.
- We use your order details to show you where your delivery is. You don't need an account.
- Your mobile number is used to text you this link, and we remove it from the tracking record once your order is delivered.
- Sharing your exact location, playing the games, asking for a reminder, sharing feedback and requesting a feedback voucher email are all optional.
- We don't use advertising or analytics cookies, and we don't sell your information.
- Anyone with your tracking or feedback link can use it, so only share links with people you trust.
1. Who we are
Pizza Planet is a trading name of South Hams Foods Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company number 16991607), registered office 20 Mill Street, Kingsbridge, Devon, TQ7 1ED. We decide how your information on this page is used (we're the "controller"). To ask about your information, contact us, call 01548 856655, or email info@pizza-planet.co.uk.
2. What we use and why
Your order
When you place a delivery order online, our ordering system (provided by Andromeda) passes us the order: its number, status and times, the delivery instructions you gave, and your mobile number. We use these to text you this tracking link and to show your order's progress. We remove your mobile number from the tracking record once your order is delivered.
When you open the page
We note when the tracking page for your order was first and last opened, so we know the link reached you and can improve the service. Like any website, our server also receives your IP address and browser details when you load the page.
Sharing your delivery location (optional)
Before your order leaves, you can drop a pin on a map, or use your device's location, to show the driver exactly where to go, and update your delivery instructions. Your device only shares its location if you press "Use my current location" and allow it. Your driver sees the pin and instructions in our driver app, and we use them only to complete this delivery.
Games (optional)
If you play the games, we store your scores, points and any reward you claim against your order's tracking code, with the times each game was played. When you claim a reward we also store a coded reference to the customer who placed the order (made from the ordering account or phone number, which we already hold for your order, and not readable as either), so we can apply the one-reward-per-customer-per-day limit, and we check our copy of later orders to see whether and when the code was used. To keep the games fair, we also record signs that a game was played automatically (for example by a bot or AI agent): whether the browser says it's automated, the type of browser it says it is, and counts of how clicks reached the game. See the game terms.
Reward reminder email (optional)
After claiming a game reward you can ask for one email reminding you of your code the day before it runs out. We send it to the email address on your order or, if you prefer or there isn't one, to an address you type in. We don't send it if we can see that your code has already been used. We remove the address from our games reminder record when the reminder has been sent, skipped or cancelled, and keep only a masked version (like j•••@example.com) so the tracking page can show its status. Older reminder records may include a past choice to receive a feedback link. We don't add the address to a mailing list.
Game feedback (optional)
After playing and claiming a reward, you may choose to give the games a thumbs up or down on the tracking page. Your response is saved against your order's tracking code, with the time. You can optionally answer further questions; we save the questions and answers with your response so staff can understand and improve the games. You can stop after giving a thumbs response. Older reminder emails may also contain private feedback links. Please don't include sensitive personal information in your answers.
A private feedback link normally works for 90 days from when the feedback response was created. Anyone with the link can submit feedback for that order or see any voucher shown on the page, so please keep it private. We store a hash of the link's private token rather than the link itself. The feedback page uses an essential session cookie to protect its forms.
Feedback voucher email (optional)
When a thank-you voucher is offered, you can request it after answering at least one extra question. You choose whether to receive it and enter the email address for that voucher; we ask you to enter an address instead of reusing the reminder address automatically. We use that address to send the voucher and its conditions, not to add you to a mailing list or send other promotions. We also save the voucher code, expiry and whether the email was sent against the order's tracking code.
We try to send the voucher email straight away. If a code isn't ready or delivery fails, we retry for up to seven days. We remove the address from our feedback delivery record when our mail provider accepts the email, or on the next scheduled attempt after retries end. We don't send a separate reminder for this voucher. See the game terms for eligibility and voucher conditions.
3. Our legal reasons
| What | Lawful basis (UK GDPR) |
|---|---|
| Order details, tracking text, delivery progress | Contract: we need them to deliver the order you placed. |
| Delivery location and instructions | Contract, at your request: you choose to share them to help us deliver. |
| When the page was opened | Legitimate interests: checking the link reached you and improving our service. |
| Game scores, rewards and signs of automated play | Legitimate interests: running the games fairly and stopping misuse. |
| Optional game feedback and requested voucher email | Legitimate interests: understanding and improving our games and providing the requested voucher. |
| Reminder email | Contract, at your request: you asked us to send it. |
4. Who sees it
- Our staff and delivery drivers, to make and deliver your order.
- Companies that provide services to us, only to do that work for us: Andromeda (online ordering and voucher codes), FireText (text messages), and IONOS, which hosts our website and database on servers in the UK and sends our emails, including reminder and requested voucher emails.
- When the page loads, your browser also fetches parts of it from other services, which see your IP address as part of that request: the page's layout and icons (jsDelivr, unpkg and Font Awesome), an animation while you wait (Giphy), and, only if you open the location map, map images (OpenStreetMap).
- Anyone you share your tracking or feedback link with. The tracking page shows your order's progress, delivery instructions and any pin you saved before it leaves us, but not your name, address or phone number. A feedback link can be used to give feedback or see the voucher shown for that link.
We don't sell your information or use it to target advertisements.
5. Cookies and storage on your device
- The tracking page itself sets no cookies.
- Four Slices sets one cookie,
PPG_FS_SID, that keeps your current round going while you play. It's deleted when you close your browser and is needed for the game to work, so we don't ask for consent. - The feedback page sets an essential session cookie,
PPG_FEEDBACK, to protect its forms. It is deleted when you close your browser. - The games save your progress and best scores in your browser's storage on your own device. This isn't sent to us, and you can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
6. How long we keep it
- Mobile number on the tracking record: until your order is delivered.
- Order tracking record, including any location pin and delivery instructions: 12 months.
- Game scores, rewards and signs of automated play: 12 months.
- Game feedback and any associated thank-you voucher: 12 months from creation. The email address you provide for a feedback voucher is removed from the delivery record when sent or on the next scheduled attempt after up to seven days of unsuccessful attempts.
- Reminder email address: until the reminder is sent, skipped or cancelled (at most until your code runs out). The reminder record, including any past feedback-link choice, is kept for 12 months.
After we delete something, it can stay in our server backups for up to 7 days until those are replaced.
7. Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive it in a portable form. These requests are normally free. Contact us using the details in section 1, with your order's tracking code if you have it. We'll reply within one month.
Objecting to promotional emails: You can object to us using your information for direct marketing at any time. Email info@pizza-planet.co.uk and we will stop using it for direct marketing.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
8. Changes
We'll update this notice when the tracking page changes, for example when collection orders are added. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
